READY TO
Fencing is among the oldest of the Olympic sports, with a distinguished lineage rooted in the long traditions of swordsmanship and martial training. Emerging over centuries from the disciplined practice of armed combat, it evolved into a refined and exacting sport that has been part of the modern Olympic Games since their revival in 1896. Beyond its historical significance, fencing embodies honor, dignity, and self-mastery, instilling discipline, respect, and thoughtful conduct toward others, whether friend or opponent.
OUR MISSION
Desert Fencing Academy exists to carry forward the legacy of our founder, Leslie Taft, by offering a refined and welcoming space where the discipline, artistry, and tradition of fencing can be experienced by a wider community. We are devoted to inspiring fencers of all ages, from youth to our senior community, through an elevated program that nurtures confidence, character, connection, and a lifelong appreciation for the sport.
Desert Fencing Academy offers a refined introduction to a sport rich in history, discipline, and distinction. Through fencing, students cultivate focus, confidence, agility, and respect, skills that strengthen both character and performance with lasting elegance.
